I Developed My Art Making Skills
I developed my art making skills with colored pencils when drawing my DUM-DUM lollipop. The way I developed my skills was by working at home and getting help from my fellow artists. Lucky for me my mom bought me Prisma Colored Pencils which helped me a lot. When I first started the project I didn't like working with colored pencils very much. With the help of my Mom and Ms. Rossi's techniques my lollipop turned out pretty good and I can honestly say I developed my art making skills.
I Take Risks
I had to solve many problems throughout these two projects but probably one of the biggest was creating the 3D look and texture of the lollipop wrapper. I got a lot helpful tips but the biggest help was looking at Ms. Rossi's lollipop which helped me see how she made the shadows and textures. In the end im happy with how my lollipop turned out and all the new techniques/skills I learned.
I Solve Problems
I took a risk by making the oil pastel Jolly Rancher. I have always been bad with oil pastels so i was kind of hesitant to do this project. With the help of my tablemates i took a risk and started on the Jolly Rancher project. It was hard at first like I suspected but I became better and better at using oil pastels by trying different techniques my friends suggested. Overall Im glad I took this risk and got better with using oil pastels.
